Evaluation
Informative art is designed to be integrated in our everyday environments, its use interweaved with the routines and practices of the people spending time around it, and its appearance an ornament of the architectural surroundings. Considering this, an evalutaion of informative art—or any peripheral display—will have to be evaluated in situ.

We are currently exploring suitable ways of evaluating this kind of displays. We use a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, to cover both statistical trends in usage data and the users' opinions about the display, their use of it, and how it fits into their everyday life. We collect data using field studies and interviews as well as questionnaires.

We have conducted short-term evaluations in order to get quick feedback on different display concepts. More mature prototypes, like the Bus Composition are used for long-term evaluations in different settings.
